Representatives of all twelve participating orchestras and choirs have gathered in Dresden to select the three winning composers of the Europasinfonie Composition Competition.

This week, the international jury of the Europasinfonie Composition Competition meets in Dresden for two days, 28 and 29 September 2026, to choose the three winning works from 226 eligible submissions spanning 26 countries.

The jury brings together one representative from each of the twelve participating orchestras and choirs, together with Musical Director Andrea Molino — twelve people who have spent the past weeks reviewing scores individually before coming together for this final, in-person session.

Máté Balogh, composer and juror representing the Pannon Philharmonic, on Instagram: “It has been an honour to be part of the jury of the Europasinfonie Composition Competition over the past few months.”

The three winning composers — and their new works for a distributed, real-time orchestra spanning up to 2,200 kilometres — will be announced at a press conference on 30 September 2026, 9am CET, livestreamed for everyone who wants to watch.
