The submission window for Europasinfonie’s international composition competition has closed — with 245 scores arriving from composers in 26 countries across Europe.

The Call for Compositions for Europasinfonie closed on 31 July 2026 at 23:00 CEST — and the final hours brought a wave of last-minute entries, with more than 100 submissions arriving on the closing day alone.

In total, we received 245 scores from composers in 26 countries. Germany, home to the coordinating Dresdner Sinfoniker, accounts for the largest single group, followed by strong responses from Greece, Italy, Poland and Austria. Eleven submissions came from Ukraine.

An international jury — one representative from each participating orchestra and choir, together with Musical Director Andrea Molino — will now review every entry. The jury will convene in Dresden on 28 and 29 September 2026 for the final selection. The three winning composers will be announced at a press conference on 30 September 2026, each receiving a commission of €14,000 gross, with world premieres at the Europasinfonie concert in June 2027.

Every score represents an idea, time and trust. Thank you to every composer who shared their work with Europasinfonie.
